The company Schlitt developed at present out of the companies Georg Schlitt Werkzeug und Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH at Frankfurt/Main ,Germany as well as out of the company Klaus Schlitt GmbH & CO KG at Frankfurt/ Main.

The company Georg Schlitt was founded in 1919 and growed before and after the 2nd world war in machine tools and precision tools.The company was placed in the city of Frankfurt am Main and in total 3 different locations.

The company Klaus Schlitt GmbH & CO KG,was founded in 1969 and was mainly engaged in exports and planning,construction and implemenatation of vocational and technical training centers abroad.

In 1985 parts of the companies were sold and out of this transaction the present company was formed, stressing on mainly precision tools and machine tools for the metal trade and surface technologies.

For the latter activities the trade mark NU-BLAK^® and BF-GALVACO LP^® was introduced to the market.
