Gear Speed Spindles

Our gear speed spindles increase the machine spindle speed 5, 6 to 7,5 times and delivers a higher cutting rate for milling and drilling.
We are using ceramic bearings for high production rates and revolutions up to 40.000 rpm.

Coolant pressure up to 80 bar is possible. The spindles are especially suitable for fine machining and are available for manual and automatic tool change. Highest possible flexibility due to exchangeable torque arm. All types (except type SLA) are supplied with jacket cooling. This reduces operating temperatures and results in constant operating parameters. The type SLA is a high speed spindle for turning machines (driven tooling).

Scope of application:

In all fields where available machines speeds and the resulting cutting rates are not sufficient for economic machining. Our high-speed spindles are especially useful for milling and drilling.

Description:

These series of heavy duty high-speed spindles for milling and drilling have been completely revised. Due to the short construction length and the improved, rigid bearing these spindles can accept radial forces during processing. In addition to the comprehensive range of standard types, the individual components include: tool spindle holding fixture (HSK, ISO, MT, etc.), machine dependent torque arm as well as a tool holder fixture (HSK, Weldon, ABS, etc.) which are optionally available as required by customers. The high processing speed is achieved by means of a planetary gear with reduced noice and vibration. During permanent operation, coolant must be supplied to make use of the full speed range (jacket cooling).

Therefore all machine holding fixtures can be cooled through the centre of spindle (design A) or through the collar (design B).

We recommend our high-speed spindles SLI for better chip removal and cooling. In these models, jacket cooling is provided by means of a controlled bypass system. However, spindles of this type are equipped with a high-pressure seal kit for pressure up to 80 bar.
